FLW Walleye Tour, Lake Sharpe, S.D., Day 2

Kelly KlemmKelly Klemm took the lead on the pro side today with a weight of 14 pounds and 9 ounces giving him a two day total of 21 lbs, 9 ounces. Ron Seelhoff, yesterdays leader, dropped to third with a weigth of 7 lbs. 1 ounce today. Second place is held by Scott Banks. 4th through 10th are; Bill Ortiz, Ted Takasaki, Kevin McQuoid, Chris Gillman, Ken Johnson,Scott Steil, and Bill Shimota.

The co-angler division is led by Darrell Rosenmore followed by Mark Bucholz, Victor Wood, Francis Beck, Robyn Johnson, Steve Beasley, Jack Ellenbecker, Matt Lyon, Terry Etzkorn, and Troy Vanecek.

The anglers hoping for wind yesterday got more than they wished for today. The wind blew all day with occasional rain. The majority of the anglers ran south to the West Bend Area of Lake Sharpe. The 55 mile, one way ride was wet and rough. There were a few less limits weighed today, but a few bigger fish came to the scale.

Boat control was the biggest factor today to bring in a good weight. One pro angler was knocked out of his boat by a wave while fishing today and said wearing his life vest  saved his life. Another pro  broke the rope on his anchor and drift sock and lost his net over board.

Tomorrow will be the deciding day to determine the top 10 pro and co anglers who will fish on Saturday. As the two day weights show, a single ounce could  mean the difference if the anglers fish on Saturday or not. One big fish bite could advance the anglers as many as 100 or more places. Walleye Central will have the results posted live tomorrow on the “Live Leader Board,”
