MWC Lake Erie 4/25/08
Morning News by Juls Davis
I woke last night to the sound of thunder how far off I sat and wondered.
As the words of Bob Segar's famous song became reality
for the first morning of the MWC, I also wondered how the Masters Walleye Circuit
anglers would welcome the first day of the two day event, here in Port Clinton,
Ohio.
Most teams were excited to get started, while a few others were not in a hurry to get out of their trucks early this morning.
The thunder diminished by 6AM, but it was still raining a light rain by the time they blasted off at 8:15AM.
Weather reports predict a hot and humid day today, with temps hitting 80 degrees.
The fishermen will have a beautiful day on the lake today, where the temps will remain in a comfortable mid 70's range.
Winds will be steady from the SSW today at 10-15 with gusts to 20-25. Wave heights a mere 1-3feet.
